Food is something that brings the world together. Each culture has its own traditions and favorite foods. As a self proclaimed foodie, I was so excited to try cuisines in the countries they originated in. During my travels, I have discovered and will undoubtedly continue to discover culinary treasures around the globe. I am honored to share with you, My Elephant Tribe, the amazing meals I have enjoyed throughout the world.
Day 80: Japan
BREAKING NEWS!!!!! I’m Sick…Again! Shocker! Why do I keep getting sick? Its all been respiratory. I have never had so many respiratory issues in my life. How do I fix this? I feel like I am missing out on fun and amazing experiences because my lungs are failing me.
Today, was no different. We went to see the Torii Gates in Kyoto. They were amazing, but my lungs decided that I wouldn't be able to walk all the way to the top. So, I sat at the main gates while Brian went up. I can’t breathe and I am tired of missing out because of it. The last two days have fueled my fire to continue my journey. I’m not sure if my respiratory issues are related to my weight journey, but it is for sure related to my personal health journey.
The Torii Gates are absolutely stunning. It is amazing how many of them there are. They are truly a spiritual work of art.
Afterwards we went to the restaurant with the best udon noodles in Kyoto. I don't have anything to compare it to and they were good, but best is a strong word. Unfortunately, today was our only day in Kyoto, so I will not be able to create a comparison study.
For now, I am going to go to bed and hopefully wake up feeling better.
