Food is something that brings the world together. Each culture has its own traditions and favorite foods. As a self proclaimed foodie, I was so excited to try cuisines in the countries they originated in. During my travels, I have discovered and will undoubtedly continue to discover culinary treasures around the globe. I am honored to share with you, My Elephant Tribe, the amazing meals I have enjoyed throughout the world.
Day 46: Peru
I spent the day in bed resting while Brian explored Lima. I would be lying if I said I wasn't disappointed. I am learning how to take care of myself. I am still not sure what that looks like. My mind and heart want to go, go, go. However, sometimes my immune system has other plans. One of things I hope to master on this journey is how to balance and how to take care of myself and prevent myself from getting sick so frequently.
In the evening I decided to venture out of the apartment. Brian and I headed to the Magic Waters show. I felt like shit, but it was our last day in Lima. Tomorrow we head to our next city. When we arrived we learned that it was closed. It is normally opened today, but because there has been a slight draught, they decided not to have the show tonight. I literally wanted to cry.
For the first time in days I was actually feeling hungry again so we went to get Ramen. Then it was immediately back to bed for me.
